Guests are welcomed into JIA by an inviting Lobby which exudes a feel of 'Eclectic China' – a stunning 'Cascade' installation set in a two-storey space where haute heritage birdcages are suspended from the ceiling above an undulating Chinese black lacquered sculpture. Washed oak flooring and fabric wall paneling with a romantic Chinese embroidery motif creates JIA's signature 'homey' feel while quirky works by local artists add a touch of humour. JIA's 55 chic guestrooms and suites, some with private balconies, feature a host of special facilities which will delight the travel cognoscenti. Two penthouse suites are located on the top floor, each appointed with ultra-indulgent facilities to make life even sweeter! The spacious guestrooms, averaging 45 sq. metres, are designed as quietly theatrical, warm and sexy spaces. Timber-panelled walls give an immediate sense of modern unhurried luxury. Over-scaled custom-designed floor rugs add a stunning accent to the dark timber floors; signature furniture pieces with a true 'pedigree' - Knoll, Minotti, Moroso, Hans Wegner and lighting by Flos and Artimide; and unique photographic pieces by Singaporean photographer Russell Wong. At JIA we like to keep the leisure levels high so all guestrooms and suites feature: Super-comfy beds for sleepyheads, down duvets and luxury linen; multi-mood lighting, spacious Bisazza-tiled bathrooms with heated towel rails and custom-designed toiletries, generous kitchen pods complete with microwave ovens, cookware and dinnerware for those 'eat-in' nights; large flat screen TVs, dvd/cd players, fast and free broadband/wi-fi connectivity, iron/ironing board, tea & coffee makers, Chinese boardgames, and well-stocked mini bars for those midnight munchies!
